Happy Hounds
Newton Abbot, Devon and Boscastle, North Cornwall.
Hello, my name is Sheila Jack A.D.C.B.M, and I am the owner of Happy Hounds, Newton Abbot. I am a fully qualified and experienced dog trainer and behaviourist having gained a distinction in an advanced diploma in canine behaviour management. I am also a UK Tracking Dog association assessor. I am also a Certified UK Trusted Trainer for Therapy Dog Training UK.
I grew up with dogs and have owned, trained and competed my own dogs for the last thirty years, enjoying working trials, tracking, and obedience with them. Twenty five years ago I realised a life long dream of working with dogs full time and I set up Happy Hounds.
I have gained many hours of experience, caring for a variety of different breeds. This has given me the opportunity to listen to clients' problems and offer help and advice where it's needed.
I have studied Canine Psychology, Behaviour and Training and am a Certified Canine Behaviourist. I have also trained with one of the worlds leading dog trainers, John Rogerson, in a five day training, instructing and Handling course. Additionally, I have attended 'The Dog Partnership Course' in Italy with Angela Stockdale who is renound for her fantastic work with bull breeds. I also regularly attend seminars which keep me up-to-date with topics involved with training and behaviour.
I am also a certified canine first responder.
I have competed in working trials with Brooke up to TD Open as well as having 2 qualified UK tracking dog's (3x Level 3 tracks completed). Both of my dogs have started Rally Obedience this year, having both achieved their level 5 excellent title.
